Sun in Kim, who met at Bumjin I&D today, was the director
of Bumjin.
He greeted me kindly at the front door,

questions.
Q.Please introduce yourself.
Hello, this is Sun-in Kim, who works at Bumjin IND.
I am responsible for
CAM operation, and I am in charge of the CAM part.
Q.How long have you been on the mold day?
I've spent 19 years
working on this molds field. At Bumjin, I’ve worked almost 12years. I'm
currently responsible for the CAM operation of the injection mold.
Bumjin IND used to be located in Gwaram dong in Siheung, and moved to Ansung.
Then, finally we moved Suwon and our staffs increase to hundreds of people. I
have spent a lot of time with molds and Bumjin. Actually, I have a set amount
of work to do on a main basis, but I do it differently on a daily. It adjusts
the part of the fault in CAM design, and the part of the problem in processing.
Q.I am curious about Kim 's daily routine.
Since people come to CAM
parts to ask rather than go to design or process parts, in a way, they can
serve as a bridge between design and processing. So, when I’m working on daily
work, I get about 70 percent of what happens on the fly.
Q.What is the hardest part of your job?
When I was in Ansung, the
problems with the workforce were really serious and I was overloaded with
tasks.
And I had a lot of hard times because the workers left even they worked
in a year.
Q.Was it the problem you met with Nice
Solution?
Yes, the first time I met N-CASS was
when the problem of manpower shortage was highlighted. It was the busiest
season from September to March, when three employees of the CAM department
suddenly quit. Instead of filling up the manpower, I contacted Cheon-il Youn who
was a close associate of the company. I asked for help. I installed an 1 copy
of N-CASS at that time, and after some adjustment, I had no problem using
it.
Without N-CASS, it would have been difficult to handle it alone. I guess I
almost didn't.
Thanks to N-CASS, two or three
people were able to handle the work by themselves.
Q.How does N-CASS affect your work?
N-CASS is the strength of automation.
Whenever I try to run the program automatically on the computer, I can handle
other things. For example, 30 to 40 cam jobs are normally I use and it
takes about 10 minutes to finish a small work. If you try to do 30, it will
take 300 minutes, then four to five hours, you should work on.
It saves roughly
a quarter of working hour.
Q.Do you have any memorable employees
among your Nice Solutions employees?
Among the employees of Nice
Solution, Jae-yup Shin is deeply impressed. I installed the NCB (NCB) with the Nice
Solution and he supported me. He didn’t leave until late at night and if I
asked him to come on Saturday, he came and supported. “I bought a lot of hot
noodles.”(laugh)
Q.When do you feel rewarded when you work?
It feels good when you combine new products or new
processing methods to see that your product is clean or well processed.
And since I work on with Samsung, I
got asked to work on new materials or new patterns every year. I feel rewarded
for solving those assignments.
It felt like time flied. I didn’t recognize my tea turned into cold. First of
all, thank you very much for your satisfaction with our product.
It seemed it would encourage customers to become a company that needed more and
more support.
