I'd like to introduce you to a family with us in a long
time.
National Mold Tech is located in Ansan, and I
visited there. About 30-40 minutes long on the road, I found the orange sign.
Thanks to the bright welcome of Jongkil Oh, I was so excited.
After
greeting, I sat down and started with questions what I wondered.
Q.How long have you been National MoldTech?
On
March 1, 1982, I participated in the National Plastic mold. In 1994, National
Mold tech became independent from National Plastics, and I am currently working
on the National Mold tech. My career of molding is same period as working here.
So this is my first job and my entire
molding life.
Q.Which part do you take charge of?
From the beginning of the first place,
I am in charge of the NC system and the machine part and I am in charge of the
NC equipment. Since joined the company,
it was a general purpose machine, so every part made by hands. By the mid
90s and started installing CAM programs such as DMC, and NC and Power mill in the
late 1990s. Currently, I am managing our employees as a machine part
leader.
Q.I am curious about your daily routine.
In fact, my main job is to manage the
machines, but I am very much interested in other things, so I handle directly
with mechanical equipment. We run the machine, we handle the process, and we
take care of the problem if we do something wrong. I keep track of various
kinds of mechanical tasks rather than certain jobs. We also check the
mid - to long-term breaks(errors) and we have reduced the rate of damage since
we use NC brain.
We regularly check the process, plan the production team and mold process, and
coordinate divisions between departments.
Q.What is the hard work during the work?
In the past, we had to adjust the
cutting speed by judging the model and judging the program. The operator continued to check the
machine by checking every detail.
It doesn't work out
much. We need to adjust the speed of the situation, and we've got a lot of
broken rates, and we've wasted time. First of all, the worker cannot
take his eyes off the machine, so he can get injured by checking the side of
the machine. There was a machine accident. It's very dangerous.
Q.Do you have any changes after using NCBrain?
Thanks to NC Brain, speed control and optimization have
resulted in improved work environment and flexibility. It's getting faster and
more convenient. I used to spend a lot of overtime, but I don’t do anymore.
In fact, we had an analysis of the
effect before we introduced the NC Brain. I thought it would improve by 30 % in
the process of working. In reality, there are between 20 %
and 30 % per project, depending on the projects improved.
Q.When are you most proud of your work?
Well, I feel great when I get
results. Sometimes I put my work on the machine, and I can't fall asleep when I
get off work. I keep thinking about whether the machine works. But after we
introduced the program, I felt relieved. And I work with employees, so I'm well
matched with the team. If I tell you a word, I appreciate the fact that the
staff will work right there. I like working together rather than doing instructions.
It was a time to listen to the live
voice at the field, NICE Customer
Service!
We will continue to work together with National Mold Tech to improve your
productivity in the future.
Thank you for your interview, Jongkil Oh, who gladly agreed to interview you.
